First Appearance of the New Year – Clinton Writes!
“How to Hook Your Reader”
Thursday, Jan. 19th at 5:30 p.m.
Clinton Public Library, 306 8th Ave. S, Clinton, Iowa
Crime novelist extraordinaire Mickey Spillane said it best – The first page sells the book. The last page sells the next book. Join a sample by example discussion of strong to “eh-not-so-much” introductions to the plot and characters that grab and hold readers to The End and beyond.

Rain fell and the fog rolled in outside. But we were cozy inside the Clinton Public Library sharing tips, thoughts and ideas on How to Hook Your Reader. Thank you, Holly, for inviting me to present the first Clinton Writes! program of 2017 and to the writers who braved  dreary drizzle and chill.
